Lacey began playing poker as a child. Her whole family enjoyed games together.

At the age of 22, Jones graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Political Science. She was hired as a model for an ESPN tournament however, she played poker so well she became a player. Shortly thereafter Lacey was approached by Absolute Poker to represent them in many poker tournaments.
