Full Tilt Poker offers a user friendly poker room. The download was 9,878k and took about 52 seconds using a T1 at 1.54 mb. Using a 52Kb modem can increase download times to 20 minutes or more. Once downloaded, set up was pretty simple and took a couple of minutes. Set up mostly involved pointing the installation to the correct directory and clicking 'Next' a few more times. Once i had Full Tilt Pokers software installed, i launched the game which loaded quickly.
Once logged in, I set up an account. They ask the basic questions, nothing difficult at all. Once my account was set up, i went to the cashier to make my first deposit. My deposit options were Visa, MasterCard, ePassporte, Click2Pay Neteller and Cash transfer. After entering my credit card information and a quick call to validate the information I was off to play.
My first tournament was a game of No Limit Texas Holdem. I decided to play with play money to get my feet wet. After selecting the game by double clicking on the tournament, a got a new pop-up window for registration in the game, but found I had now chips to play. So I exited the game and went back to the cashier to get some free credits. I easily found the 'Reload Play Chips' link and clicked it which automatically added 1,000 credits to my account I exited the cashier and went back to select the tournament. The tournament that I had originally decided play had already started, but it didn't take long to find more. It would appear that every time a tournament starts, they start registering for a new one immediately. Once I found a new tournament, i quickly joined and paid my buy in.
After my buying was accepted, I was set to the poker room to start playing. So far, it had taken me about 3 minutes to get to this point. The room was a standard poker room with 10 seats at the table.
The poker room interface was pretty easy to use, the display showed my cards and the number of chips that I had. I could also see my opponents and the amount of chips they had. The dealer dealt the cards and play started. I was pulled into an All-In on the third hand with pocket kinds and got killed by trip aces. Needlessly to stay, I was crushed. I decided to join another tournament and started out keeping the bets small. I ended up getting second place!
Full Tilt Poker was definitely a fun place to play and one that I will return to often. I play to start playing with real money my next go round. The minimum deposit with Full Tilt Poker is $50.00 and they have buy-in's ranging from $0.05 up to $500.00 from what I could see.
Withdrawing from Full Tilt Poker was a little difficult. Currently, you can only have checks sent or you can have them deposit funds to your ePassporte account. To have a check cut and mailed, you will need them to give you a call.
