Wingows is a relatively new site in this ever expanding online community. This site offers some of the best promos out there. Play can sometimes be slow but the room seems to grow each day. Keep an eye on this site. The games offered at Wingows are Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud and 3-Card Poker. The games vary between No-Limit, Pot-Limit, and Fixed-Limit.
Wingows was a little bit more difficult to play. Installation was basic. The software was only 5,596kb and downloaded in under a minute. With a 56k modem, you're looking at about 15 minutes. Once installed, I went to the cashier to make my initial deposit. They accepted Neteller, Moneybookers, ePassporte, Paysafe and ECO. As usual, I used my ePassporte account to make my initial deposit. The deposit minimum was $10.00 no matter which deposit method you use. Once the transfer was complete I headed off to play!
At first, I was not that impressed with the lobby. I found it a little confusion to navigate and tell what was going on. After staring at it a few minutes, I got the hang and hopped onto a table that had a game in progress. Once it got to my turn to start playing, I could not locate the button to post my initial blind. I didn't like the fact that it didn't post my blinds automatically. After loosing my first few hands, I left the room to go find another room.
This room had smaller pots that the other. One thing that I did like was the average pot size was listed in the game list. I choose a game that had a small average pot and started to play again.
I folded my first few hands and finally got a pair of pocket sixes. I bet high and lost. The next hand I got a king of diamonds and an ace of diamonds. I bet the blind and watched the other players at the table do the same. The river couldn't have been more in my favor when the 10, Jack and Queen of diamonds came out. I slowly inched up my bets until I went all in against 2 other players that were to vested in the game to fold. Needless to say, I took the hand. My next 2 hands were killer hands as well. I ended up 800% up from where I started in less than 5 minutes. I decided that was enough and quit the game.
I decided that I would go and play a tournament. The different tournaments had different buy ins ranging from $0.02 up to $215.00. After waiting about an hour and a half for my tournament to begin it finally started. One thing that I noticed about Wingows is that the tournaments were far a few between.
My first hand was a 2 of clubs and a 5 of hearts. Needless to say, I dumped it. My next 10 hands were just about as good. I finally ended up with a pair of jacks and set out to make some money. I bet the initial bet up about 500 chips. The river had a pair of 10's and a queen. I should have no better, but I went All-In and got stomped by a full house. So with my tail tucked firmly between my legs, I left the table to go lick my wounds.
Over all, Wingows was about the same as the other tables. Aside from the initial confusion of the lobby and the poker room I finally got the hand of using their software. Their software was not the most difficult, but not the most intuitive either. I will go back and play a few more games, at least until my bankroll is depleted.
