Phillips, who is the chip leader heading into the final table of the WSOP Main Event, announced last week that he will donate a prime logo spot on his jersey with all proceeds going to the MS Society.

Starting last Thursday companies and individuals have been able to bid eBay for logo placement on the shirt Phillips will wear as he attempts to become the 2008 WSOP Main Event champion. As of 1:00 p.m. PDT the bidding has already reached $13,000 although it's likely to go much higher.

Phillips, a long time-supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, became involved in the fight against MS when his brother was diagnosed with it over 10 years ago.

"Being on the final table of the WSOP is an opportunity of a lifetime, but we hope that this opportunity will one day save someone's life," said Phillips.

Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Phillips surprised many when he outlasted 6,836 players and then made a serious drive to finish atop the chip counts on the last day of the 2008 Main Event before the final table. Phillips finished with $26 million chips, which is two million more than nearest competitor Ivan Demidov.

Phillips is currently sponsored by PokerStars.com and has already donated money to a number of causes since reaching the final table including the Pajuols Foundation and one percent of his winnings will also be going to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

"The Awareness and funds raised through Dennis' effort will help us to continue our work for the over 6,000 people living with MS in our area."
