The multiday binge of all things cards is being held in the facility's newly remodeled World Series of Poker Room, with 10 events being played in all. There are also daily satellites, cash tournaments and megasatellites to be played through to October 12.

Winners of events played so far include Tue Phan, Paul Han, Heather Murry, Chris McMillian, Joel Shulruf and Justin Wallace.

Daily $280 buy-in cash tournaments and single-table satellites for all remaining events are running from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m. until Oct. 11.

The $230 Super Satellites also start every day at 3 p.m. until October 11, with an extra to be played at 12 p.m. on the final day. For every $5,250 generated in the prize pool, one seat into the Circuit Championship Main Event worth 5,000 big ones is up for grabs.

The $5k No Limit Texas Hold'em Championship main event kicks off on October 12 in what is one of the largest poker rooms between Las Vegas and Atlantic City. It should be a hard test for even the best circuit players.

Last year's winner Carlos Uz took home a first-place prize of more than $200k from the $688,401 prize-pool in addition to the WSOPC ring and a seat in the WSOP Main Event. A father of eight, Uz lived in Vegas for years but never found much of a poker groove until the win in Indiana.

"I lived in Las Vegas for 13 years but I didn't play that much because I had a big company and I didn't really have the time," Uz told PokerListings.com after the win.

"I did play occasionally, however, and I always loved poker. My best friend was a big poker player in Vegas but I didn't seriously play until just this year. This is like the first big tournament that I actually made it this far."

Uz, who actually checked out of the hospital against his doctor's advice to play in the event, did not finish in the money at the 2008 WSOP. But maybe this year's winner will.
