PKR announced this week it is launching its first-ever live poker festival, PKR Live, Nov. 14-16 at the Loose Cannon Club in London. The three days will include a $60 freezeout on the first day, a two-day $500 main event and then a $10,000 bounty freeroll on the final day.

PKR is also guaranteed nearly $100,000 in total prize pools for the events, plus the festival will host cash games and sit-and-gos throughout the event.

"This marks another important moment for PKR. We always strive to give our players the best experience in online poker but we also know that many of our players enjoy playing live," said Marketing Director Simon Prodger.

"So now we are crossing the bridge to bring some of our fantastic PKR community together for a truly one-of-a-kind festival."

That doesn't mean the poker site is forgetting about its loyal online players either. PKR has many ways for players to win their way to the festival at the poker site.

Up to 150 players can win a $1,000 prize package that will include the buy-in for all of the weekend's tournaments plus money for travel, accommodations and expenses.

PKR will host weekly finals every Monday and Thursday which will give out prize packages. Plus there are two stages of qualifying satellites for player to work their way into the weekly finals for as little as $2.38.

Another option for players to win their way to the PKR Live festival is the $25 special satellite. One in 40 participants in the satellite will win their way to the live event.

Some players will get to the festival without even having to pay a dime for satellites. Not only is PKR giving away 10 packages through freerolls, the top five players from its multi-table tournament leaderboard will also qualify for packages to play at the festival.
