Paddy Power Poker recently announced the launch of its biggest-ever Irish Open promotion, called the €100,000 Sole Survivor. With the promotion, the last Paddy Power Poker qualifier left standing in the 2009 Irish Open will win a €100,000 prize package.

The package includes €75,000 in cash, which will be paid in three installments through the year, plus €25,000 in live tournament buy-ins and expenses. Paddy Power Poker will help determine which live events the Sole Survivor plays.

"We always try to offer our own qualifiers something special for outlasting their peers; and this year certainly won't disappoint," said Paddy Power, communications manager for the online poker site.

"The €100,000 package will be in addition to whatever prize money they win at the event, so it will be a real windfall for whichever qualifier stays in the game long enough to become our Sole Survivor!"

The 2009 Irish Open is scheduled to take place April 9-13. The buy-in for the event is €3,500.

Plenty of players have already won their way to the Irish Open on Paddy Power Poker, making them eligible for the Sole Survivor promotion. There's still time to qualify online as well, with an expanded schedule starting this month for players looking to score a seat.
