On Tuesday Dale Nachreiner, director of table games at French Lick Resort Casino in French Lick, Ind., announced the casino was moving to the dealer-less tables.

"PokerPro is a great fit for our casino," said Nachreiner in a story with CNN Money. "Our goal was to create an environment that attracts poker enthusiasts of all skill levels as an addition to bring a full-service destination resort. These tables are fun and interactive, allowing us to offer live poker in our newly expanded non-smoking venue with a reduced rake."

Nachreiner did mention that none of the dealers at French Lick would be disrupted because of the switch.

"PokerPro has also created opportunities for employees that have previously dealt poker on a full-time basis, to work in an expanded live table area without displacement of any positions," he said.

The advantages of the electronic tables include faster games and virtually no dealer errors.

One person who isn't against the switch to dealer-less tables is famed poker author and theorist David Sklansky, who recently signed on to advise PokerTek.

There are more than 200 PokerPro tables currently installed in licensed casinos and cardrooms around the world.
