Annie Duke, poker pro and UltimateBet cardroom consultant, emphasized that the Points Race gives every player at UltimateBet a month to win a piece of $115,000 in free cash.

To qualify for the promotion, online poker players must earn RAI$E Status Points by playing in any real-money raked ring game, sit-and-go tournament or multi-table poker tournament Oct. 1-31.

The players who earn make it into the top 100 on the RAI$E Status Point leaderboard will share in a $100,000 prize pool. The top earner will win $15,000, with second place getting $10,000 and $9,000 for third.

UltimateBet will also inject another $15,000 for an exclusive freeroll for the top 1,000 RAI$E Status Point earners.

Duke said the playing field for the $115,000 Points Race is a level one, because each player's rank is based entirely on RAI$E Status Points.

Status Points are awarded to all players at exactly the same rate, regardless of whether they're new to the site or a longtime player. Under that system, every player will have the same chance to qualify for the promotion.

RAI$E Status Points are used by UltimateBet to determine the RAI$E status level of each player every month. Depending on their status level - Ultimate Member, Player, Contender, Legend or Icon - players gain access to all sorts of exclusive benefits. The higher players climb, the more benefits they have access to.
