A quick glimpse at Serinda's currently under-construction website, SerindaSwan.com, shows a young woman with her dark hair tossed back and a white bikini barely concealing her curves. But how well does she perform?

Senior Editor Payton O'Brien has displayed great interest in signing Serinda on to his website Gambling911.com as a commentary writer, not a pictorial feature. While attractive ladies and professional poker have always worked side by side, O'Brien has made it clear that it good looks alone won't secure a position with Gambling911.com.

In this case, it's Serinda's ability to write good poker stories that makes her a hot commodity.

This isn't to say that O'Brien won't use Serinda to the extent of her sexual potential however he acknowledges that his clients would rather hear about her private life than her card tips.

Twenty-two-year-old Swan was first noticed for her looks when she began her career as a fashion model from Vancouver, Canada. Her entrance into professional poker has been facilitated by Absolute Poker, an online poker site that has signed Serinda on as a spokeswoman as well as an online player. Serinda also recently won a modeling contest hosted by GUESS Watches in 2007, competing against 75,000 other participants and eventually taking the lead from ten female finalists. With the take-off of her online career and her recent features by GUESS, Serinda fans won't have to search hard to find more coverage of this poker beauty.

Serinda's poker skills undoubtedly began to sprout when she studied to be an actress, taking lessons while she was between ages three and seven. After a brief hiatus, she re-entered the acting arena at nineteen with a renewed fervor.

At the poker table, Serinda uses her sex appeal to throw men off, complimenting a bluff with a sensual gesture. When discussing how her game has evolved over the years, Serinda says she no longer attributes game-winning success to fortune and effective bluffing she now puts more emphasis in analyzing the odds and studying the behavior of opposing players. She feels most comfortable with cash games or online sessions, although it isn't uncommon to catch Serinda at a tournament table.

When in Vegas, Serinda enjoys all-night, high-stakes poker games in suites at places like the Palms. It's not unusual to see a $100,000 and expensive jewelry on the line at Serinda's table. She attributes her success to studying a variety of fellow poker players, borrowing techniques from several people instead of narrowing her skills. She recommends that beginning players get as much practice as they can, and also to avoid arrogance or taking wild risks. She says that knowing when to fold is perhaps the most valuable skill a poker player can have.

Outside of the poker realm, Serinda enjoys spending time with animals, especially her new French Bulldog.

Undoubtedly, Serinda's biggest success in the poker world has come from her advertising with Absolute Poker. The online poker company has beefed up the promotional material, providing packages for tournament winners which include no surprise here meetings with Serinda to film Absolute commercials. The company rewards Serinda with well over $200,000 for a weekend's worth of endorsement, not to mention all of the poker events she can handle.

She says she enjoys the feeling of seeing herself in an Absolute Poker television commercial while she's in a public place the recognition excites her quite a bit. That's a good thing all eyes in the poker industry seem to be on her. She is being compared to Carmen Electra in some circles by men who would love to engage her in a game of strip poker.

It's doubtful that any casual poker players will be seeing Serinda with her clothes off anytime soon, but fans hoping to share an online table with Serinda can catch her every Sunday between 2pm and 4pm Eastern Time on the Absolute Poker website. Serinda hosts a ½ no limit table at this time, and the website warns don't take her good looks for granted.
