After a few years of playing poker in local games and online for fun Steve successfully gained entry into the 2005 WSOP Tournament. This newcomer managed to make it to the end by taking second place in his first foray into tournament play.

Steve is a CPA, financial advisor, and mortgage loan officer. Steve holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, and he earned a CPA certificate in 1989. At the age of 23, he started his own CPA firm. Dannenmann works as a certified public accountant, financial advisor and mortgage loan officer in his own firm. He has said he will not quit his job because it has taken a long time to build his firm and he loves his job. Despite his large financial wins, Steve still works his day job. Relating his poker play with his professional work Steve has created what he calls the 4 Aces of Financial Success to help clients achieve their goals, borrow from the best, write and prioritize a plan, practice small and build on what works.

Steve is married and has one step son.
