Ultimate Bet was a fun online poker room to play at. With a file size of 7.44MB it took about a minute and a half to download, about 25 minutes if you have a 56k modem. In stalling the Ultimate Bet poker software was not to difficult, it pretty much installs on its own. If you need more directions on installing Ultimate Bets Software, Click Here!

Once you’re set up and running, you can go to the cashier and make your deposit. I have been using ePassporte for all my bankroll funding and have had not problems. The transfers from ePassporte to Ultimate Bet took les than a minute to complete and about 4 minutes for my account to be credited the funds. Once the funds were available, I was off to play.

I started out in the free rooms as always to get a feel for the room. I didn’t like the software or the room layout to my. The options were a little limited. I think the most annoying thing with Ultimate Bets software is that the windows the program were not resizable. Not that I need a full screen to play, but I like the ability to play at the size I want.

I played a few hands of the free poker. It was alright, but nothing compares to thrill of using real money. I went straight to the low tables. The .02/.04 all in allowed table. My first had was crap, as were my 2nd and 3rd hands. Finally, I got a pair of 8’s. I bet the pot and had 4 takers. Another 8 turned up in the flop and I checked, I decided to play it cool. After the Turn, there was a pair of 6’s showing in the community cards and someone went all in. I was so happy. I went all in knowing I could beat 3 6’s no prob. I ended up winning the hand and left the table with 50% more than I had walked in with. I started with 2 bucks and finished just over 3.

The tournament play was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, due to some distractions I was unable to complete the tournament. I would strongly suggest using the ‘Sit Out’ button when ever you walk away from your computer while playing poker. Whether it’s a tournament or a regular game. I walked away for about 10 minutes thinging that the software would automatically sit me out, but it didn’t. When I came back to the computer 25 hands or so had gone by and my pot had gone from 12k chips to less than 2. When the blinds start to move, they move quickly and if you do not sit out, every time the blinds comes your way, you’re in! I guess you can avoid that by not turning on your auto blinds, but I’ve tried that too and I just forget to post the blinds.

My second tournament went just as well, but I was too tired to complete it. I had about 20,000 chips and ended up throwing them away in less than 5 minutes. I went into a do or die mode. I kept going all in. I actually won a few to my dismay, but eventually ended up loosing.

Ultimate Bet is definitely a fun place to play. The cards seem to be consistent across the board and you get your fair share of good hands and slop.
